John,
Chris Ferry and I have to play you and your partner in the B Doubles tournament. Now you may be somewhat shocked at that since on the board it states you are playing two wonderful players in Mr Meyers and Mr Cannusciso. There is a story behind it and of course I will tell it.
It all started when I asked Mr Meyers to be my partner in the B Doubles and the handicap doubles tournament where he accepted. I was so excited by this that I immediately entered our names and paid my fee before he change his mind. Well the night of the seeding Mr Meyers said for the good of the tournament he would play with Mr Cannusciso and I would play with Al Jewitt. Well the tournament was seeded and no one told Jewitt that I was released so Mr Jewitt had another partner. Mr Meyers threw me under the bus for a far superior player in Mr Cannusciso.
I raised the issue (bitched, complained, broke balls...) as to why I was left out of the tournament. I was told I was left out since I did not have a partner. I then returned to my roots and went ½ block up Georgia Ave and asked Mr Ferry if he would be so kind to partner up with me in the B Doubles tournament. I then informed Mr Meyers that I do have a partner and should be allowed to participate. Mr Meyers sent Mr Ferry and I a very nice email saying he and Mr Cannusciso would love to play us at a later date after the tournament.
I was aghast!!!!
So I again raised the issue in a gentlemanly manner (I screamed and yelled calling them "scared little girls") that we should in fact engage in a competition for the spot in the B Doubles tournament. I tried to reason with them that two superior players like Mr Meyers and Mr Cannusciso could not possibly lose to two inferior players with humble beginnings. (Ok so I said what are you scared to play two jerkoffs from ducktown) The match was sent and sanctioned by the Tournament Committee for Tuesday February 7,2006.
It was a spirited competition but Mr Ferry and I prevailed.(we kicked their (EDITED)! We were the first one to 1,3,5 and for good measure 7…. They still don’t know how two superior players can take the pipe against two jerkoffs from Ducktown) So if you would be so gracious please let Mr Ferry and I know when you will be able to schedule this competition. I only hope that Mr Ferry and I can give you a spirited match as you would have received from two wonderful players the likes of Mr Meyers and Mr Cannusciso.
Sincerely Rich Chialastri
